Sunset at the play ground...
last week we went to the play ground after dinner to enjoy the nice weather before it gets too cold here. kye had a blast going down the twisting slide, and jumped on kale every time kale came down after him.

kale took this picture with his cell phone on our front lawn,
and i thought it was so cute...
i just love my boys!

Fun with spaghetti and a suitcase...
spaghetti is one of kye's favorite meals... as well as his messiest. if you're like me you're probably wondering how a little boy gets spaghetti on his forehead...

this is one way to say... "mommy, i'd like a bath tonight..."

now here you see just a simple suitcase...
all packed and ready to go to PA, right?

"can i go with you daddy... you won't even know i'm there..."

NYC Toys R us...
what would a NYC visit be without a stop at the world's largest Toys R us? kye enjoyed playing with the train set while kale worked on a plan to escape with the life size Optimus Prime... then he realized it probably wouldn't fit inside the subway... not to mention he couldn't run very fast while carrying it.

NYC Central Park...
our last day in NYC was spent walking around Central Park. It's a very big and beautiful park. we spent a lot more time walking through the park than i had anticipated, but kale swears we were never lost...

the tall city buildings made for an interesting background to the park.

kale took this picture of the sail boats...
i think i just may hire him as my assistant...

this is the museum from "The Night at the Museum."
funny... it looks so much smaller in person...

NYC Stock Exchange...
we walked down Wall Street and saw the NY Stock Exchange as well as the Trump Building. my favorite part was see this big beautiful flag draped over the entrance to the stock exchange building.

NYC Staten Island...
you can't go to NYC without seeing the statue of liberty, right?... so we took the free ferry that passes by the statue of liberty. it was pretty cool to see. i was able to get some great shots of the city from the ferry.

i took this from the top deck of the ferry terminal behind the "Staten Island" sign just as the sun was going down.

mommy and kye goofin around...

NYC Rockefeller Center...
rockefeller center is where they light up the NYC christmas tree that we see on tv every year. right next door is where they film the tv show "30 Rock." it's a very beautiful and picturesque garden area. we had fun going to the NBC store with oogles of fun gadgets and shirts from every tv show you can remember... and even the ones you may have forgotten.

kale spotted this as a great picture, and i have to agree...
it's pretty cool...

inside the "30 Rock" building we saw the most beautiful
long crystal chandelier that extended several stories.

NYC Time's Square...
while we were in PA, we took a 4 day weekend trip to NYC. it was so fun and mesmerizing to see all the tall buildings, bright lights and big pictures. if you ever get a chance, i highly recommend stopping by and seeing NYC. it's quite the experience!

Fall in Dayton, OH...
on our drive back home, we stopped to see our friends, the kavals, in Dayton. we had a fun time staying with them and enjoyed a beautiful walk through the park full of fall colors.

Lily displaying her beautiful flowers...

already a charmer...
kye found 2 cute girlies to hold his hand...

Grandpa Melton's visit...
Dad let us borrow his van for our PA road trip last month... thanks dad! last week he came for a short visit and drove the van back home to VA. we had a good time with him. kye especially enjoyed wrestling grandpa in the grass.

"i gotcha now, grandpa...
their's no escaping the GREAT KYEMASTER!"

"now listen up, grandpa...
this is your last chance to surrender..."

"look at the airplane grandpa...
grandpa?... are you still alive?"
